This mission recently led us to Stone Spring Elementary in Harrisonburg, where we spent the day teaching students about oral hygiene, how teeth grow, and the role of orthodontics.

Building Healthy Habits Early

When it comes to teaching kids about their health, how the message is delivered makes all the difference. By keeping things interactive, fun, and engaging, we aim to make the lessons stick.

As part of our broader commitment to family orthodontics, we help children, teens, and adults alike understand how proper care — including braces and Invisalign — supports lifelong dental health. Early conversations like these lay the groundwork for healthy habits, which could end up saving them “tens of thousands of dollars over a patient’s lifetime in dental care,” shared Dr. Weiler.

Strengthening Local Schools Through Partnerships

We appreciate the opportunity to support our community by spending time in local schools and connecting with students in a meaningful way. “Creating partnerships with people in our community makes our school stronger,” shared Principal Norris Bunn of Stone Spring Elementary. “My hope is that our relationship with Weiler Orthodontics lasts into the future and that they’re coming back year after year. I think it’s an important program and a great service they’re doing.”

We’re grateful to principals like Mr. Bunn who recognize the value in building connections between healthcare providers and the classroom. For many students, these presentations spark curiosity and excitement about their own dental health. They leave understanding how basic dental care, as well as treatments such as braces and Invisalign, can boost their confidence and improve their overall well-being.
